Title 31—Currency Transaction Reporting (CTR)

The Title 31—Currency Transaction Reporting (CTR) Web-based training courses provide the policies and procedures needed to comply with MGM's minimum internal control standards. These courses include both an overview of Title 31-CTR as well as information specific to three internal departments. Learners are also presented with several video vignettes and challenged to react and choose an appropriate response/course of action based on course content. The target audience for these courses are Slot Operations, Cage and Table Games employees who deal with cash transactions. In addition to Web-based training, O/E has conducted several Effective Business Writing instructor-led classes for their employees. The overall purpose of this Business Writing course is to develop writing skills in the participants. This course covers: Criteria for determining when to write and when not to write; issues and concerns with e-mail communication on the job; practical skills for planning and organizing written information in e-mail messages; prevention and intervention techniques for common grammar and punctuation errors; visual formatting techniques to streamline writing and reading.


Effective Business Writing (Instructor-Led Classes)

O/E has conducted several Effective Business Writing classes for MGM Grand employees. The overall purpose of this business writing course is to develop writing skills in the participants. This course covers:

  • Criteria for determining when to write and when not to write.
  • Issues and concerns with e-mail communication on the job.
  • Practical skills for planning and organizing written information in e-mail messages.
  • Techniques to prevent common grammar and punctuation errors.
  • Visual formatting techniques to streamline reading and writing.
